The Khilafah; The Pact of All Pacts

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Egypt could join the joint defence agreement recently signed by Turkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, describing Cairo’s accession as “possible” and the pact as open to further members. (Al-Jazeera.com)

Comment:

The recent Mecca Joint Defense Agreement is being portrayed as a success and is being promoted to gain support from the Muslim Ummah. The Pakistani, Turkish and Saudi governments are framing the pact as a united front for the Muslim Ummah on an international scale, as a defence against any external party that threatens the Muslims. Yet we can recognise that this defense pact is purely a convenient strategy, one that supports the imperialist interests of Trump's America and reinforces US control on the Middle East.

All three members of the pact are now talking of more countries joining in, the image once again being portrayed of a policy of mutual defence amongst Muslims, but this is far from the truth, and is harmful for the Ummah, however much they decorate their words and appearances.

European powers started making efforts for the fragmentation of Muslim unity during the time of Islamic Caliphate as their aim was to get them out of the centralised system of Islamic ruling. Various regional, national, and ethnic tendencies were fostered within the Muslim Ummah and thus European powers succeeded in fragmenting the Islamic state. The flames of nationalism and patriotism were fanned and thus the Ummah was divided into pieces of land, while the people remained connected through their hearts and beliefs. The countries needed economic growth and border securities and very early on they felt the need to make agreements for the protection of their sovereignty. Though this need was heavily exploited by the colonialists for their own benefits. The borders and treaties further solidified the division of the Ummah. And now history has repeated itself in the form of the Mecca Agreement.

The insistence and call for other countries to join the agreement echoes the disgrace of the Baghdad Pact, the formation of Central Treaty Organization (CENTO) too was represented as an Islamic resistance to the amoral and atheistic attack of the Soviet Union, yet its true purpose was to support the US in its own war.

If the Mecca Pact was in fact in favor of Muslim interests, its first action would be the defence of its Muslim brothers and sisters against the oppression of the West, yet Gaza and Iran both remain abandoned. Victims to the unity of "Israel”, the US and our so-called Muslim rulers.

The only true unifying word we can rely on is that of Allah (swt). It is under His command that the Muslim Ummah must unite and defend themselves, not with the interests of the West and wealth in mind but rather for the sake of Allah (swt). The establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) State would allow for Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkey and countless other Muslim states to fire under the same canon and carry the banner of Islam. It will be the Khilafah on the method of the prophethood that will be the death of all satanic pacts and will bring the Muslim Ummah together under the pact of all pacts.

[وَاعْتَصِمُواْ بِحَبْلِ اللّهِ جَمِيعًا وَلاَ تَفَرَّقُواْ وَاذْكُرُواْ نِعْمَةَ اللّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنتُمْ أَعْدَاء فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم بِنِعْمَتِهِ إِخْوَانًا وَكُنتُمْ عَلَىَ شَفَا حُفْرَةٍ مِّنَ النَّارِ فَأَنقَذَكُم مِّنْهَا كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّهُ لَكُمْ آيَاتِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونََ]

“And hold firmly together to the rope of Allah and do not be divided. Remember Allah’s favour upon you when you were enemies, then He united your hearts, so you—by His grace—became brothers. And you were at the brink of a fiery pit and He saved you from it. This is how Allah makes His revelations clear to you, so that you may be ˹rightly˺ guided.” [TMQ Aali 'Imran 3:103].
