Obituary of the Dawah Carrier

(Translated)

Allah (swt) says: [وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الْخَوْفِ وَالْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍ مِنَ الْأَمْوَالِ وَالْأَنْفُسِ وَالثَّمَرَاتِ وَبَشِّرِ الصَّابِرِينَ * الَّذِينَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْهُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ قَالُوا إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ * أُولَئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلَوَاتٌ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ وَرَحْمَةٌ وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُهْتَدُونَ] “And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, (155) Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return." (156) Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.” [Al-Baqara:155-157].

With hearts content with Allah’s decree and eyes filled with tears, Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan mourns, by Allah’s permission forgiven, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Ahmed Al-Qadi, a member of Hizb ut Tahrir, who departed from our transient world to the Abode of Everlasting Life on the morning of Tuesday, 19 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1448 AH corresponding to 1 September 2026 CE, in the Al-Doum area, northeast of the city of Dongola, in the Northern State.

The deceased was among the first generation who carried the Dawah to resume the Islamic way of life through the establishment of the Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood, enduring the harm of tyrannical regimes. He was imprisoned during the era of the tyrant Jaafar Nimeiri and was also subjected to arrests during the era of the Salvation Government. He remained faithful to the dawah, carrying its banner for more than sixty years, patient and seeking Allah’s reward, hopeful at the nearness of Allah’s victory. He loved his brothers and his sons among the carriers of the Dawah, giving them preference over himself.

We ask Allah, the Most High, the Almighty, to make his illness an expiation for his sins, to envelop him in His vast mercy and forgiveness, to make the highest level of Paradise his dwelling and refuge, and to inspire us and his family with patience and good consolation.

Indeed, the heart grieves and the eye sheds tears, and indeed, O Abdul Rahman, we are saddened by your departure. But we say nothing except that which pleases our Lord: Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.
