‘Bongo Flava’ at 30 Years of Destruction of Youths

Tanzania: On 10th July 2026, “Bongo Flava at 30” concert was launched in Dar es Salaam marking 30 years since the music genre emerged as a blending of American hip-hop, traditional Tanzanian musical styles and Kiswahili storytelling. The anniversary celebrations aim to honor the artists and figure whom have shaped the genre.

The Bongo Flava music genre emerged as a result of cultural invasion from west as it copied American hip-hop music. The Kuffar (disbelieving) Western capitalists were not only satisfied with colonialism and neo-colonialism exploitation in politics and economy of the country, they utilized cultural attack as a way to brainwash youths and colonized society being occupied with mirage aspiration and endless illusion in many entertainment ways including ‘Bongo Flava’.

As Bongo Flava emerged in Tanzania as the Swahili version of American Hip-hop, just like what American hip hop spoiled American youths.

It has been used for three decades to promote Western values, promotes immorality such as fornication, alcoholism, LGBTQ culture that brutally disintegrates social values. As a result, many if not all Bongo Flava artists in their music promoting social evils and in most cases they engaged themselves in drug addicts and homosexuality.

Above all, the Bongo Flava is not only a tool to destroy society, it also fills youths with the lies and fake promises of a better life through cultural enslavement.

As a result, many youths are investing a great deal of zeal and time for the colonial cultural benefits while a few rich capitalists which have the worldwide chain of the music industry. In fact, many of what seems as successful Bongo Flava artists in reality they have other roles such as promoting immorality like homosexuality, illegal drugs business, etc., under a cover up of being music artists.

Islam with human guidelines in all aspects has forbidden all immorality actions such as fornication, alcoholism, homosexuality and etc. Under its Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) State would ban all sort of immorality and harshly punish all promoters and engagers so as to protect society, wealth and human integrity.
